# 2025-02-16 - Sunday
A few weeks ago I attended an online [[5-Day Awaken ADHD SuperPower Challenge]] to obtain information on learning to manage ADHD (I'm not officially diagnosed but am working on that once I obtain insurance again...). I am aware of much of the information that was provided, however it was provided in a manner that made it simpler to approach & execute. While I was unable to partake in the guided coaching aspect, the freely provided information has been incredibly useful thus far. The discord is nice to participate in as well. I enjoy learning & sharing information with others & the channel has been a healthy outlet to do so.
As for implementing what I learned in the course, for instance, I've uninstalled social media (Instagram) from my phone & when I do use it, I do so from my computer for about 5-10 minutes. One reason being that I don't find social media as engaging as I used to & no longer want to spend my time doom scrolling anymore. Furthermore I don't really have much to post about myself right now & social media is more media than social nowadays. Instead I've been spending much of my time studying for the [[AWS Solutions Architect Associate]] exam (minimum 2 hours a day), reading (I recently finished [[How to ADHD]] & today finished [[The Lathe Of Heaven]]) or writing/journaling. There are still some items I am working on, such as reducing consuming YouTube & I'm getting closer to my goal for that as well.
For now I'm happy with the progress I'm making & look forward to applying more of what I learned from the course to further improve my outlook on life. In the meantime, I need to also work on porting my analog notes for the books I've read to the digital notes I've posted on this public slipbox. However that probably won't get done until after the AWS SAA exam has been taken & completed **successfully**. Alas I'm off tomorrow but have a few appointments to attend to, so I won't be able to enjoy it as much as I'd like. Having regained employment recently is already keeping me busy with learning, hence my focus being centered on AWS SAA at the moment. Afterwards I'll start looking at Terraform & Python training.
Things I'm looking forward to for now:
- A new fountain pen to write with, the [Namisu N2 Titanium](https://www.namisu.com/products/n2-ti), coming in the mail.
- While I have a plethora of wonderful writing utensils, I don't have a EDC fountain pen. Meaning most of my fountain pens I don't like to take with me while I'm out & this one hopefully will meet my needs. Currently I'm using a [[Stationary#[Carryology Essentials](https //tactileturn.com/products/tactile-turn-x-carryology-essentials-slim-bolt-action-pen) |Carryology Essentials]] ballpoint pen for EDC needs.
- Titan Fitness [adjustable kettlebells](https://titan.fitness/products/40-lb-adjustable-kettlebell) to arrive to update my fitness protocol.
- While I'd like to go to the gym, I don't like the modern worlds gym culture of recording workouts. So I'll stick to my home workout routines for now.
- Reading & taking notes on the book [[The Courage To Be Disliked]].
- I had started it a few months ago but I was already reading a book & decided to hold off until I finished whatever book that I was reading at the time. So now 4-5 books later I'm returning to this one and am excited to return to it.
